and you're even lucky - we just had a fresh db release 2 weeks ago so you don't even need to update it
Snowcraft Sep 21, 2026 · 15:44
Apparently it doesn't. I happened to download a fresh last week to try find the original data from something I fucked... so it's good to know that's latest.
Snowcraft Sep 21, 2026 · 15:44
Neither items 33978 or 34028 (the two faction versions) appear in NPC_vendor at all.
Shauren Sep 21, 2026 · 15:45
wowhead comments say removed from the game
Snowcraft Sep 21, 2026 · 15:45
They were not removed in WotLK. >_>

Shauren Sep 21, 2026 · 15:45

Shauren Sep 21, 2026 · 15:46
yeah, that one
Ovahlord Sep 21, 2026 · 15:47
so not a bug, it's a feature
Snowcraft Sep 21, 2026 · 15:47
The mounts are not in Coren's loot table either though.
Shauren Sep 21, 2026 · 15:48
look at the lfg bag reward
Ovahlord Sep 21, 2026 · 15:48
ye, mounts and special items are usually dropping from the holiday lfg reward item
Snowcraft Sep 21, 2026 · 15:48
Ah.
Snowcraft Sep 21, 2026 · 15:48
They're the bag reward, fair enough.
Shauren Sep 21, 2026 · 15:49
is the bag even a thing in wotlk?
Ovahlord Sep 21, 2026 · 15:49
I think yes
Ovahlord Sep 21, 2026 · 15:50
cata never changed that - only updated item levels in 4.1.0
Snowcraft Sep 21, 2026 · 15:50
Item 54535. It's there.
Shauren Sep 21, 2026 · 15:51
yeah, so its that
Snowcraft Sep 21, 2026 · 15:52
Okay, I just need to go fuck with the LFG dungeon DBC then so my people can actually access it.
Advocaite Sep 25, 2026 · 03:24

@GamerCreadorReplace this .cpp file with the other one; this ensures the boss dies correctly, health points are shared, and instance assignment and looting work as intended. Then, recompile and restart the server. I fixed the boss.

cymek 3.3.5 ?
Ovahlord Sep 28, 2026 · 09:08
Obviously, yes. That's the battle.net protocol which was about to replace the traditional Grunt protocol
cymek Sep 28, 2026 · 09:15
yeah I mean... that was introduced in 3.3.5, no? or 3.3.3

it was a recent addition

Most of bnet UI in 12340 is polished, that was the only oddity I noticed. They could have used that triangle or cog alone, both look perfect on their own 😂

I thought you meant the design on the friends list. that looks bad. the static dialog doesn't look bad, although the spacing is a bit off. the icon doesn't look bad.

Hi, compiled my first core since 5 years or so and was pleasantly surprised by the status of the localized quest tables. Seems to me that they are almost complete?! German specifically had a lot of quest rewards text missing back then and now seems like everything is there. How was that possible? Because of Blizzards official classic branch?
Crane Sep 29, 2026 · 14:08
@GamerCreadorGo ahead, but have fun now you can kill the boss. 😉

Hey Shauren, I’d like to discuss something specifically the Vault of Archavon raid and the open world Wintergrasp battleground. I’ve fixed a number of things that TC hasn't implemented yet, as well as some missing elements needed to make the experience truly Blizzlike. only if you have time
Xenphis Oct 02, 2026 · 15:27 (edited)
I think that you can publish a draft and discuss about it on the draft. It allow to keep a trace and have an archive for the future or others projects. (Just a personal opinion. I often research GitHub discussions when I do research on blizz behaviors)

The code is still incomplete because there are one or two bugs in it; furthermore, there is another bug, and I’d like to know where that part is declared.
Srzm Oct 03, 2026 · 23:02
Surely your project is a fork of the TC repo? You could post the relevant branch for VoA or WG, describe the bugs and people interested could help and search for it with you. 🙂

@Srzm My server now has these fixes: The code for Voa has been scripted; Voa is now connected to Wintergrasp in a "Blizzlike" manner, and various bugs have been fixed. * Only the team that won can visit the raid. * VoA closes no later than 5 minutes before a battle begins and the bosses turn to stone. As well as a boss emote announcing that the instance is closing. * Shortly before time runs out, all players are teleported out of the raid. * "Blizzlike" would be 15 minutes before the start of a fight, but since everyone can set their own time in the config, it is calculated dynamically. * The bug causing the teleportation of vehicles from the fortress has been fixed by me. * Fortress walls are restored immediately after the victory in Wintergrasp. * It is not possible to enter the raid while the battle is in progress. Also, entering the raid is no longer possible starting five minutes beforehand. To achieve this, the teleport area trigger was removed, and a C++ area trigger script was written to manage the entire process. * In the event of a wipe while the battle is in progress, the player can return to the instance and resurrect, but is immediately teleported out of the raid afterward. * Boss spells have been adjusted, including Koralon's spell; the bosses now cast spells differently, distinguishing between 10-player and 25-player modes.

can anyone shed some light on what is BoundingRadius
Osna Oct 06, 2026 · 22:23
and how is it calculated with CombatReach? if at all
Nobuemon Oct 06, 2026 · 23:35
CombatReach is the distance (+5 default) at which a mob can melee and be hit by melee. BoundingRadius is the model bounds (for collision) and select circle radius

Osna does BoundingRadius have any part in AoE range checks?
Ovahlord Oct 08, 2026 · 12:07
Bounding is only relevant for reposition checks (most npc move backwards when you step into their boundaries

NYI on TC
Shauren Oct 08, 2026 · 12:09
not even then
Shauren Oct 08, 2026 · 12:10
boundingradius is much larger than combatreach, theres no way that makes any sense in that context
Shauren Oct 08, 2026 · 12:10
or maybe not
Shauren Oct 08, 2026 · 12:10
its only sometimes like that
Ovahlord Oct 08, 2026 · 12:13
There is a static flag that controls it (to disable it. Many large mobs use it)

I’ve been finding a few mobs in the old world who spawn completely underground - a few yards at most, but enough that a vanilla client can’t see or target them. My bot client was able to, which is how I’ve found them. I’m gonna have it record what it finds and verify it at the end, then maybe submit a PR to fix them.

So far I’ve found a Kolkar in the Barrens and a croc in Wetlands
